Class Descriptions

Stretch Class

This 45 minute class will include exercises that can be altered to meet you where you are at. All levels can participate. And we will do this while enjoying our favorite music from Broadway musicals. If you miss or want to revisit a class don’t worry, all classes are recorded and available for students enrolled in entire session series to view or download (not available for drop ins).

Why is stretching important?

  • Decreases muscle stiffness and increases range of motion.

  • May reduce your risk of injury.

  • Helps relieve post-exercise aches and pains, improves posture.

  • Helps reduce or manage stress.

  • Reduces muscular tension and enhances muscular relaxation.

  • Improves mechanical efficiency and overall functional performance.

  • Helps improve balance and promotes circulation.

  • Decreases the risk of low-back pain.

Advanced Musical Theater Dance

Come improve your dance skills as we learn choreography inspired by your favorite Broadway Musicals. Classes include warm ups, strength building exercises, barre/floor work and dance routines. We will focus on improving flexibility, strength, balance, and choreography memorization as well as experimenting with the different dance styles of dance used in musical theater. Advanced classes learn more challenging choreography and we move through routines at a quicker pace. Whether you are looking to improve technique and flexibility, sharpen your ability to learn choreography or just looking for a fun way to keep in shape, this hour and a half long class will keep you on your toes. Broadway Work Out

If you are looking for a fun form of exercise to do from your living room while enjoying songs from your favorite musicals, join us for Broadway Workout. This one hour conditioning class is designed for dancers and non dancers alike and will include strength building exercises, stretches and heart raising cardio all set to music from Broadway shows. We will explore alternative exercises not used in the Musical Theater Dance classes. And Broadway Workout is complimentary to other dance classes you maybe taking. Consider taking Broadway Workout multiple times each week to increase the benefits of your workout. Classes are designed to accommodate adults of all levels and exercises can be modified to meet the needs of each participant. A tutorial video will be sent to all students which will break down the steps and exercises used in the class.
