Dance Class Performances
Sing, Sing, Sing
This performance of Sing Sing Sing was put together in the middle of the Covid epidemic. Students learned choreography over Zoom. They then submitted videos of their performance filmed from their home. The videos were edited together for the final cut. We also used footage recorded during our online classes.
I am grateful to my students for participating in this project but more importantly for being part of a community that allowed us to stay connected to our passion for dance during the Covid epidemic.

During the pandemic we could not perform under regular circumstances so we substituted videos for in person performances because that's how we roll to keep the arts alive. One of the silver linings during the epidemic was expanding my editing skills.

Fiddler On The Roof
Alameda Civic Light Opera and Lincoln Theatre Company
"Just as good as it's ever going to get doesn't do full justice to ACLO's current production of 'Fiddler On The Roof'. As both director and choreographer, Jeff Teague's realization is superb. Typical of Teague's fine work, every movement by the entire company, not just the dancers, is organic and gives rise to an ongoing series of splendid tableaux."
-Tom Billings, Alameda Journal
"The challenge for director Jeff Teague is how to keep a theater favorite fresh and enjoyable, balancing an audience’s nostalgia while also making the show pop, sizzle and bang. And he does. As always with Teague’s productions, the dancing is superb."
-Julia Parks, Alameda Sun

Jesus Christ Superstar -- Beautiful to Watch
"The direction and choreography by Jeff Teague was really worth watching. I have said before that the thing this company does well is big production numbers, and this show is no exception. The dancing and chorus are wonderful. There is not nearly enough of some really wonderful dancing. The choreography was great. A beautiful production, it was a worthy goal for this spunky theatre company."
-Merle Yost, East Bay Voice

Hot Hit From ACLO "Jeff Teague directs a sharp, snappy script with many creative new touches, and also provides amazing original choreography, from the courtly wedding pavane and suggestive grape-stomping scene to the steamy "It's Too Darn Hot". Pippin
Alameda Civic Light Opera
"If there were ever any doubt about whether Jeff Teague is a worthy successor to the legendary Bob Fosse, the tour de force created by Teague's legerdemain as both director and choreographer of ACLO's production of the musical "Pippin" absolutely lays such doubt to rest. The uniformly excellent acting and singing, and especially the dancing - intricate, energetic, precise, and perfectly polished - are truly breathtaking."
